For no reason why... I have lost my password for the longest time. I don't know how to make the old link back to live but the good thing is I can still bring this Blogger back to life.

It has been at least an year since my last entry. So many fun things have happened. Route 66, Laos trip, Jenny and Shima's Wedding... I should have keep a proper post. Hopefully, can keep it active again.

In 2011, it is going to be a really significant year to me. Aging is one thing and having a baby soon is another thing. I can't believe there are only less than 2 months to go... It just has been so long...

I have spent a really simple and quite birthday during the weekend... no party, no celebration but only with Nic. When you are getting older... really! Birthday just doesn't really mean too much to you. You just forget with the busy day especially you have been sicked for the whole long week.

HOWEVER! I received so fantastic gifts from my dear friends and very nice book which is put together by my husband. They are all truly amazing!

These are all the gifts from my dear friends. Thank you Suki, Quist, EP, Emily, Tracy, Mum, Dad, Ben, Qz, Jenny, Shima, Lee Sin, Edwin...

This is part of the memory from last year. Nic and I traveled Route 66 with Quist and it was such a beautiful memory. I really wish my favourite couple Jenny and Shima were with us. It would be even better.

This one is just too nice! From an amazing artist Electric Pick... It can cost you fortune! I am so proud to have a hard original copy in my collection! Don't be jealous!

Hello from Vientiane, Laos

Today is the 5th in Laos. It is amazing to see of the big changes of the country and as the same time some of the things haven't changed a bit ever since my last visit.

The streets are still filled up with mud and dust which is no good for the people like me from a city where the people are always fuzzy about the pollution is a bit too much.

As the research, Laos is one of the poorest country in the world and the poorest country in Asia. Nevertheless, people here seem to be much happier from those faces we see everyday in Hong Kong... definitely less stress. For them, overwork is harmful for their lives. Party should go on every night... Beer from the morning till dawn. They don't care about where they should swim. Wherever they see a river, pool... they just straight jump into the water without any doubt under the sun. For us, we would think about whether the water is clean or any bacteria.

Children grow up with healthy food... cows grow up with healthy food. There is not grain for them to eat. That's why my travel buddies say the quality of beef is way better than anywhere else in the world where they have ever been.

ANYWAY(from my favourite girlfriend)! One of the most shocking things is now Vientiane is filled up with the 4x4 cars which produce a lot of CO2... it can be the biggest bad influence from the civilization.

Just to chill out and get away from the "city", we spent two days in a small village which is not too far away from the city. The local pickup tuktuk took us to a village which is about 25kilometer away from Vientiane - the river time lodge. It is run by a British guy and a bunch of local from the poor village around the river.

The idea is to protect their lifestyle and at the same time part of the profit from the lodge will be given to the local for the use of building or maintaining the water damp.

(to be continued)

Just found out some of the pages on this site are not shown on Window... which means some of the blank pages are not blank for some of you. This is also one of the reason why I haven't uploaded any new photos for a while because I still can't fix this problem.

Say bye to 2009 and let's welcome 2010!

Hello from Kochi - one of the big city of southern India. The place is flourish and known as the world's biggest rice supplier. The people here just look much happier than the people we can see from the north.

I can still smell the taste of local Chai. What they call the milk tea which we normally do but with extra spices that they call Chai Masala. The smell of the wheat from the grill is flowing in the air. The first smell of Indian seafood is in the town and the big fishing nets are just across the street where people enjoy the sunset.

The experience of witness the local gangs grabbing people's mobile phone openly inside the train station which opened my eyes as much as seeing all the slums like watching a movie. There are many more slums than what I expected to see. It is easy to be recognize with the big blue plastic coversheet over the rooftop from one block to one block. Tons and tons of garbage is dumped outside their doors or they actually collect those things. I still don't know the answer...

The past few weeks were great beside carrying those heavy backpacks outside or inside the station to look for the direction... and finally got it wrong and did it again and again. The thing is you feel like hundreds of people around you to offer different kind of rides and accommodations. Most of them were more about scam and so far we are still not trapped once. The worst offer was asking us to pay triple money for the rickshaw.

After the trip to the desert, the camel hurt my back so much and the scratch peeled off my skin which still takes time to recover. What I guess I got infected from a coughing old lady sat across me on the train, I believe it was the reason why I got the worst fever ever within these ten years time. That was actually surprised me as I haven't got any stomach problem but the flu.

Since my last post... we have already hit different cities and states. I am quite surprised about the big different between North and South in term of the culture, religion and the hygiene you may say.

The Southern India is absolutely a lot cleaner than the North. The people and the cities generally aware more of the hygiene and the affect of pollution. Beside the water bottle, I found out plastic is only used on something durable and can be used over and over again. For those one off plastic products ire mostly and may be all of them are recyclable. I am not sure about the cost but I can see the recycle industry is doing much better here than my city.

This is interesting to see Hindus is not as popular in the South. We basically see the cross or image of Jesus more than the image of Shiva. It would be the reason why makes such a big different between north and south. We don't see as many cow in the south... you don't see as much cow pooh in the south neither. The funny thing is some of the people like to put Jesus, Hindus Gods and any kind of God together. I guess... as long as they feel like the GODs they think would protect them... they are happy the worship.

Questions just pop up suddenly into your mind whenever you see something new to hit your curiosity.
