Hello from Vientiane, Laos

Today is the 5th in Laos. It is amazing to see of the big changes of the country and as the same time some of the things haven't changed a bit ever since my last visit.

The streets are still filled up with mud and dust which is no good for the people like me from a city where the people are always fuzzy about the pollution is a bit too much.

As the research, Laos is one of the poorest country in the world and the poorest country in Asia. Nevertheless, people here seem to be much happier from those faces we see everyday in Hong Kong... definitely less stress. For them, overwork is harmful for their lives. Party should go on every night... Beer from the morning till dawn. They don't care about where they should swim. Wherever they see a river, pool... they just straight jump into the water without any doubt under the sun. For us, we would think about whether the water is clean or any bacteria.

Children grow up with healthy food... cows grow up with healthy food. There is not grain for them to eat. That's why my travel buddies say the quality of beef is way better than anywhere else in the world where they have ever been.

ANYWAY(from my favourite girlfriend)! One of the most shocking things is now Vientiane is filled up with the 4x4 cars which produce a lot of CO2... it can be the biggest bad influence from the civilization.

Just to chill out and get away from the "city", we spent two days in a small village which is not too far away from the city. The local pickup tuktuk took us to a village which is about 25kilometer away from Vientiane - the river time lodge. It is run by a British guy and a bunch of local from the poor village around the river.

The idea is to protect their lifestyle and at the same time part of the profit from the lodge will be given to the local for the use of building or maintaining the water damp.

(to be continued)
