Lack of update as things have changed. Some small changes are good if on the good side. Recently is terribly busy about work, school and something news. When will I have a real long holiday?
These few weeks were spent on planning the Southeast Asia trip. I am sure it will be another adventure to me. What I am looking for is the weather of Western China can get better before March so not let the schedule to be called as "canceled",
The latest plan is to have a train ride from Hong Kong to Guangzhou and catch another train to Nanning, GuangXi. It will take around one whole day to make it. The best is if I can catch the train from Nanning and straight to Hanoi but it seems to be difficult these days. After a long research, it seems to be difficult to get the ticket as it is the direct train from Beijing to Hanoi and it doesn't seem to be easy to book ahead. It becomes more difficult as there is only one train per week. Therefore, if you miss this one, you have to spend another week in Nanning. Sure, there are tons of routine to pass the boundary. It should be easier to catch the bus from Nanning to Hanoi. It is especially good you can pass the friendship pass where used to be the only way to visit Vietnam from China.
Since not easy to have a proper long holiday, I would like to spend longer when my partner to leave earlier and head back to Hong Kong. We would do Vietnam, Laos and North Thailand. After that, I will keep going with my own and try to look at the other side of Cambodia to visit my little old friends (I don't know if they are still there) and hopefully to go to the Western Vietnam.

If I have more time, I would love to head back to China with the routine to Yunnan and travel the Southern China.
That's what my plan so far... so much looking forward to seeing it happens!
Have a lovely Chinese New Year! Will upload more photos when I finish my last assignment!
