Spent almost whole day in Sham Shiu Po - one of the poorest district in Hong Kong. As we all know it is one of the oldest districts in Hong Kong with really high population which is caused by new families emigration from mainland china. But most of the people who have been living in Sham Shiu Po since they were kids.
When you walk through the street, you can't imagine or you can't believe you can buy a pair of really old used shoes with $5. This is not about the price but whether you would believe someone would be willing to wear it. It is really sad to see all thoes thing happens in this so called flourishing city.
Today, I understand one thing that make me thing some people like me a really selfish. Selfish to believe we would keep all historical building and let not everything destroyed... I finally found out most of those people sharing a 100sq fts. room with family who are the people to be entitled to choose if they want to keep living in that way. Someone likes me would not know how controversial it is.
For me, old things are beautiful because it can show how people spend their time with the little and short time on this planet earth. But one thing we would not know is if they are having hard time or they really enjoy it.
